Erik Hanson

Erik earned his BS in Biology from the University of Florida and a MS in Bioinformatics from UC Santa Cruz. He is a bioinformatician in the Palumbi lab working on kelp forest environmental DNA and coral reef genetics. I am focused on applying and teaching genomic methods to better understand and protect delicate marine ecosystems. Beyond my work, I enjoy a good run, playing guitar, and brewing delicious beer, which is where I blend scientific precision with a creative flair.
